when will chdk be ported for a430? im using that camera, but dont want to repent for buying it.

Same here ... I have a Canon A430 and I would love to see CHDK on it. Are there any expectations as to when CHDK will be available for this camera?

+1 .. I've added the wiki rss feed only to see if a430 is ever releases. The forums show that it is in the works.. but no further detail.

Ditto. I'm all about custom firmware, let's unleash this camera's potential! It was cheap when it was new, so it should be a good inexpensive CHDK camera for when it gets ported. 97.77.48.66 16:54, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

if the firmware dump is available, why are the moderators not going ahead with the work to port on a 430. do u really think that a430 is an inferior one and leave the users waiting forever? sorry if thats not the case and work has been started.

Moderators do not port cameras, they moderate ;-)

You can either port the A430 (if you do speak ARM Assembler & C and have some weeks of free time) or you can wait until a developer with a A430 do the port. Patience is a virtue. _{Fe50 11:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)}
