Porting A580

There are currently two persons trying to port this camera model. See forum for the progress.

20090104 I am also going to work on a port, I am currently setting up a build environment. My firmware version is: GM1.01B - User:Dabian .

DryOS A series cameras are probably the best reference for porting. The a720 is a relatively mature dryos port and a CHDK reference firmware, so it is a good source for general dryos cam stuff. The a590 is more similar to the a580 in terms of hardware and Canon firmware, but the port isn't nearly as mature, so more things are likely to be incorrect. The S5is is useful because it is extensively commented.

Note that like the a590, (but unlike the a720), the DISKBOOT.BIN needs to be encoded or the new DryOS wont use it. Thanks to ReyalIP
